Hello everyone, I wanted to get an email out as a reminder for upcoming events/trips, etc as posted on our event calendar at www.hcnsyc.com and mentioned in our last meeting minutes. May 23, 2021 - Blessing of the fleet at Harbor Club North at 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided catered from Ike's Lebanese (we had a deposit with them for the membership appreciation dinner to use up). BYOB.
June 4th - June 6th - Spring Fling at North Channel Yacht Club. Our reserved wells are full but you can still get on a waiting list!
June 6th - June 11th - St. Clair Rendezvous at St. Clair Harbor. Scott Campbell, Rear Commodore, is the organizer of this event. Mention HCNSYC to try to get a slip near our group.
July 6th - July 7th - Kelly's Island, OH Rendezvous at Portside Marina. Scott Campbell, Rear Commodore, is the organizer of this event. Mention HCNSYC to try to get a slip near our group.
July 7th - July 8th - Put in Bay OH Rendezvous at Crewsnest. Scott Campbell, Rear Commodore, is the organizer of this event. Mention HCNSYC to try to get a slip near our group.
July 9th - July 11th - Vermilion, OH REndezvous at Vermilion Municipal Docks. Scott Campbell, Rear Commodore, is the organizer of this event. Mention HCNSYC to try to get a slip near our group.
August 2nd - August 3rd - Lexington MI Rendezvous at Lexington State Harbor. Scott Campbell, Rear Commodore, is the organizer of this event. Mention HCNSYC to try to get a slip near our group.
August 3rd - August 4th - Port Austin Rendezvous at Port Austin State Harbor Marine. Scott Campbell, Rear Commodore, is the organizer of this event. Mention HCNSYC to try to get a slip near our group.
August 4th - August 5th - Presque Isle, MI Rendezvous at Presque Isle State Harbor. Scott Campbell, Rear Commodore, is the organizer of this event. Mention HCNSYC to try to get a slip near our group.
August 11th - August 13th - Tawas, MI Rendezvous at East Tawas State Harbor. Scott Campbell, Rear Commodore, is the organizer of this event. Mention HCNSYC to try to get a slip near our group.
August 13th - August 15th - Caseville, MI Rendezvous at Caseville Marina. NOTE: As of now the marina is full, however it may open up as Port Austin opens up. Stay tuned.
August 15th - August 16th - Lexington Rendezvous at Lexington State Harbor. Scott Campbell, Rear Commodore, is the organizer of this event. Mention HCNSYC to try to get a slip near our group.
FROSTBITE: Our normal weekend of September 24th is not available. The weekend prior is also not available. We have a few choices, the ABYA is having their Fall fling September 10 - 12. We had a small group of boats attend last year and they had a great time. We could make that our "frostbite" weekend, right now all the wells are showing available but be advised that Y-Knot BC will also be there that weekend so wells will fill up fast.
OR - I do currently have 10 wells reserved under HCNSYC for our regular weekend of September 24th. The rate is $65 a night, each boater is responsible for their own reservation. Refunds for cancellations will not be issued but can be used as a credit towards another reservation.
If I could get some feedback from our members on the above two choices we can put something together that the majority of the group will be happy with.
Someone suggested a trip to Detroit Yacht Club. I will have to check on availability, the past couple of years it's been hit and miss with availability.

We have 10 spots reserved. We can cancel the reservation and try to book Metro earlier in the month if that's what the majority wants to do.
