Past Commodores, Delegates, Club Commodores, and Vice Commodores,
It has taking this long to recover from Spring Dinner Dance. No, not really, but just like any summer we had back to back full weekends. I am here to tell you that those that attended had a BLAST! Unfortunately it was a lot of work to produce and it went by like a Thanksgiving Dinner.
Raffles were a HIT! Starting with “The” Wheel. Wish we had more time to play out the last 3 games instead of putting them all together in the end.
The Lottery Tree, thanx to Ms. Debbie Richards for her unique and welcomed donation!
Baskets were a hit as well as the 3 Booze baskets. 50/50 found everyone very generous!
Thank you to all that attended and all that donated! I hope that everyone had FUN!
The Commodore's Cocktail Party had a extraordinary turnout!
Dinner was excellent again this year thanx to Chef Bald Tom and Crew.
Whoever ordered the weather for us was a great contributor!
Kindle Kings played AMAZING music. I look forward to having them again.
And certainly our hosts North Channel Yacht club with Flag Officers, Board and First Mates. Weekend managers, P.C. Glenn Nixon and his wife Sheila and team are the best hosts! I can't thank you enough!
The numbers are not all in yet but I can assure you that we made some mighty good money for our charities! Thank you everyone who jumped up to help and especially Commodore Leslie, Vice Commodore Will Bailey, Rear Commodore Sally Preston and Treasurer Ruth Hollister. This is quite a team!!
I already have some 50/30/15/5 tickets in. Remember, every 100 sold by your club, gets their name thrown into a hat for a free membership to ABYA for your club. SPYC, you need to pick yours up. Call me!
Join us for the Put-in-Bay Express June 24th. Flyer on Facebook. Spaces are limited and time is running out.
There is still room at 'Metro' for our Fall Fling event September 9, 10, 11. Our reservation block has expired, but you can still grab a well. Details about this event to follow.
If you have an event that I may have missed please post it on ABYA Facebook Page. I don't have to do it for you. No advertising, just event promotion or boater safety please.
Still looking for a Secretary!!!! Send me your Letter of Intent and we will go from there. email@example.com.
The commodore may appoint someone per the by-laws at August's meeting at Belvidere
We are a 501c3 organization and maybe I assumed too much to think that it is understood that there are no refunds on tickets sold. Please know this, if you are unable to attend after you have paid for a ticket it is not REFUNDABLE. It becomes a donation. Monies are put toward arrangements, food, music and such in order to roll over to making monies for our charities. A refund is not an option. Sorry for any misunderstandings.
Thank you for your continued support,
P/C Patricia Mok
